The Unbound

Profil: Bound by the shackles of a storage ring, Gu Hongyuan endures years of hidden cultivation at Yundaofeng, disguised as a talentless disciple. When he is forced to mentor his junior Tang Ning, the two are drawn into a dispute over a secret realm. Forming an alliance with Bai Li and Yu Sheng from Xuantian Sect, Gu Hongyuan ventures into perilous lands in pursuit of spirit stones and the Hunyuan Contract. Within the secret realm, he outwits the Eight Gates Golden Lock Formation and helps Tang Ning grasp the essence of sword intent. When a ferocious Bai Ze awakens, Gu Hongyuan shatters the ring’s restraints, breaks through to the Nascent Soul stage, and joins forces with his senior Mo Rufeng to seal the beast. Returning with the Hunyuan Contract, he quietly consolidates his power, though a sharp gleam lingers in his eyes. A new adventure beckons, yet darkness seeping from ancient murals hints at a far greater crisis on the horizon.
