The Mysteries of LiaozhaiEpisode 01

This documentary explores cultural angles and lively forms linked to Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio. Blending classic literature with AI animation, it contrasts traditional and contemporary audiovisual expression. From 500 tales, it selects 20 to show absurd exams, officialdom, women's fates, and underworld justice. Ghosts and fox spirits voice human warmth; puppet animation balances Eastern weird aesthetics and critical realism. The world may be murky, but the heart must not fall.
